Moreco completed its first Ultra Rapid scheme at Cross Hands in just 12 months from site identification to energisation, delivering a strategically important solution for E.on Energy and closing a critical network gap.

The project involved securing a suitable site, conducting early feasibility assessments, and planning each stage to meet operational and technical requirements.

Grid connections were arranged with the DNO and detailed electrical designs developed to ensure full compliance with network standards. Planning consent was obtained without conditions, allowing site works to commence within 14 days of approval. ​​

Timelines were carefully coordinated with local authorities and key stakeholders, while close collaboration between civils contractors and an ICP enabled a seamless transition from concept through to build-out.

Moreco acted as the Principle Developer, engaging specialist partners and stakeholders to deliver the scheme to specification and on schedule.
